DAVID
/ AI Automation Engineer
I build AI automation systems that run in production — conversational commerce, document extraction and content pipelines. I design them, deploy them on my own infrastructure, and keep them running.
/ How we work together
You have a system in mind and want it delivered. I scope it, build it, deploy it and hand it over documented — with the automation, the integrations and the infrastructure it needs to run without me.
Ongoing capacity for teams running automation in production: new workflows, integrations, incident triage and the maintenance nobody has time for — expiring tokens, provider API changes, silent failures.
I join your team for a sprint or a quarter and work inside your process — your repo, your board, your review flow. Useful when the automation or AI-integration work is real but doesn’t justify a full-time hire yet.
A review of automation you already have running, with findings backed by evidence: what breaks silently, what has no error path, what will not survive a second client. You get a prioritised report, not a sales pitch.
/ Who I am
I design, build and operate AI automation systems. Not prototypes — systems that run on their own: bots handling conversations over an official WhatsApp provider, pipelines publishing to four networks on a schedule, workflows reading invoices and filing them every day.
Most of what I’ve built started as a pilot for one case and became a configurable platform. That transition is where the interesting decisions are — what becomes configuration and what stays put. Sales safeguards and payment validation don’t belong in a config file, and knowing where that line sits is the part nobody can improvise.
I work async-first: Slack, Notion, pull requests and written documentation. I’m on UTC-5, which overlaps the entire US working day. And I run my own infrastructure — AWS EC2 behind nginx, Docker, self-hosted n8n — so I don’t need anyone else to deploy what I build.
Usual stack
/ Running in production
Invoice capture and bookkeeping for small businesses. Send a photo or PDF over a messaging channel and an LLM extracts the tax fields, validates the totals and files them — no manual data entry.
Live in production sinceA content pipeline that generates short-form video and carousels, publishes them to four networks on a schedule, and measures what actually worked — with its own analytics panel built on top of the platform APIs.
Live in production sinceA multi-product sales engine running on WhatsApp through an official BSP: conversational AI, voice transcription, payment-receipt validation and follow-up windows. Launching a new product is configuration, not a rewrite.
Live in production sinceA programmatic video factory: renders vertical videos from a database with Remotion and headless Chrome, sources footage and audio from public APIs, and publishes to two YouTube channels in two languages.
A local-first personal finance app that answers one question: how much money will I have on a given date. Cash-flow projection engine with credit cards, recurring rules and goals — pure Dart domain, 91 tests green.
Every one of these I designed, deployed and still operate.
